From the DI Front Porch: The holiday issue of the Front Porch has traditionally been our “Thankfulness Issue” In truth, what this issue is about more than anything else is getting to know our neighbors and strengthening community bonds. When Kay Stanley and Curt Seymour first visited Daufuskie Island around 2004, they knew they wanted to build a home there. The ocean, the marshes, the wildlife, the history.
